Mental Health Therapist

Works with children ages 4 and up, teens and adults for counseling

Private Pay and Insurance

Allison is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose passion is helping people connect with the powerful healing forces that already exist within themselves. She has experience working with children, teens, adults and families in outpatient and residential settings. Her specialty is working with people who have experienced trauma or struggling with grief, anxiety or depression. She uses techniques including Eye-Movement-Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Polyvagal theory, Client-centered Play Therapy, Nature-Based techniques and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

Real change is possible, and Allison’s approach to the therapy process is based on the premise that as we connect into our whole system, we tap into our inherent, endless, science-based potential for healing.  Allison understands first-hand the frustration of wanting to change and understanding what needs to happen, and yet continuing to feel stuck in the same behavior patterns. As someone who has the lived experience of feeling caught in what can seem like an endless cycle of thinking through issues, Allison uses techniques that incorporate the whole brain, nervous system and body into the healing process. Science has proven that the body stores the uncomfortable experiences we encounter and the unhelpful programming and messages we pick up during life, but it’s also proven how vast the potential for healing can be. During the therapy process with Allison, she will be there to guide and make suggestions to help you connect with your innate potential and capacity to make your life whatever you want it to be, while honoring the reality that you are the expert in you, and as such are in control of the process. You deserve to heal, and you are here looking into therapy because you are ready for it. Let’s get started!

Yoga Teacher

Yoga is an incredible journey that has completely changed my perspective and brought so much peace and joy into my life.  I've always been someone who found it hard to slow down and fully
embrace the current moment. My mind would often wander into the past or stress about the future. However, everything changed when I discovered yoga. It was like opening a door to a whole new world of mindfulness and self-awareness. Through yoga, I learned to connect with my breath, focus on the sensations in my body, and let go of any worries or distractions.  My journey into yoga started in 2015 as a goal to improve my fitness routine beyond traditional weightlifting, which I found mundane and uninspiring.  Seeking a more profound experience, I found my way to the YMCA in Nashville, TN, where the sense of community and personalized attention from instructors ignited my passion for yoga and meditation.  As I continued my yoga practice, I noticed how it transformed not only my physical well-being but also my mental and emotional state.  Since then, I have delved into various yoga practices, diverse studios, and meditation techniques. Aiming to share my enthusiasm and encourage others to embrace and embody the essence of yoga in their own lives, I decided to study being a Yoga teacher In 2020.  As an instructor, I not only want to teach strength, balance and
flexibility, I want to encourage Embracing mindfulness.  I strive to inspire others to cultivate a deep appreciation for yoga and the transformative power of being fully present.
Namaste~

Massage Therapist

As I became a licensed massage therapist I received confirmation of what I’ve always known. What we all have always known. “The human touch is very important to a healthy Life.” Through practicing techniques like Swedish, fascia release and deep tissue I learned the technique of communicating with the body to help facilitate healing and wellness. This has become a passion.  With techniques of:

Swedish massage, I work to relax and calm the skin, encouraging muscle response and help bring the body into a parasympathetic state.

Deep tissue massage, I work to smooth out the stress within the muscle and encourage blood flow to the tissues and to bring the tightness from within out.

Fascia release I do a very slow, deep massage used to facilitate circulation, and the release stiffness to the fascia throughout the body. I dive deeper into the skin, layer by layer.

My hobby is finding ways to connect with all things, finding the positive beauty in the universe and trying to understand the complicated and /or negative.

My love is the smile of children and elderly. They are the most vulnerable yet they seem to understand more than most.

Kentucky native born and raised. After graduating from Bullitt East high school in 2003 I persued a career in EMS attaining my EMT-B license. After receiving experience for a number of years I furthered my education and career to receive my paramedic license and associate's degree from Western Kentucky University. I felt inspired to explore alternative/naturopathic healthcare after experiencing years of traditional healthcare. Having grown up in and around my fathers' physical therapy clinic and being told by many of my natural massage ability, I decided to complete massage therapy school and received my massage therapist license. I intend to continue and further my knowledge and career in naturopathic medicine. My philosophy of healing is thus: prevention and maintenance, diet and exercise. An informed and balanced practice of both western/traditional and alternative/naturopathic healthcare practices coupled with a strong individual belief you can feel better.
